Austin, TX - Claire Reynolds, Democratic candidate for U.S. House in Texas’ 11th Congressional District, announced today that the campaign’s first Federal Election Commission filing shows more than $10,000 raised in its opening reporting period, all from individual donors.
Crossing the five-figure mark in a first filing is an early viability benchmark for first-time challengers like Reynolds, signaling that a campaign has the organizational capacity and donor interest needed to establish a serious, competitive operation.
“This campaign is being built the right way, from the ground up, with support from individual donors and volunteers who believe this district deserves a real choice in 2026,” said Reynolds. “This filing shows that the campaign is organized and underway, and that after five years without a serious challenge, incumbent August Pfluger will now face a credible, well-supported opponent.”
The report reflects grassroots support with no PAC money and no party committee funding, with 100% of fundraising coming from individual donors. Just one month after filing to run, Reynolds has established an early foundation as the campaign continues to expand its in-district donor base and volunteer network.
In the months ahead, the campaign will focus on growing local support, building field capacity, and taking Reynolds’s message directly to voters across TX-11.
